One step closer to being the dreaded Smug Married-hood as documented in Bridget Jone's Diaries as today saw Jo and me settling the papers for the final handing over of the flat to our names. This effectively means that I now own 66 Toa Payoh Lor 4 #XX-XXX (you all out there know my address lah) as well as all the irksome perks of paying my own bills, groceries and whatnots, argh! But still I am glad that now Jo has found a full-time job and should be able to share in upkeeping the house.
Along the way, we also collected our Wedding Bands that have been sitting with Lee Hwa Toa Payoh for weeks now at last! It feels kinda good to hold the little White Gold trinkets in your hands fully knowing that you bought them with your hard earned cash. No wonder Gollum is so much ado with that gold ring of his, lol!
Anyhow, wedding date aka ROM date is slated for 14th Feb with a probable Nov 11 2006 set for church wedding day if nothing goes wrong. Now that both of us are earning, things are indeed starting to look up coz the situation was so grim in the months before this. Thank God for His providence man!
For those people who is sourcing for a place to look for a one stop wedding boutique, I recommend Ted Collection at Chinatown which is at the same block of the hotel 81 opposite Chinatown Point. They do nice stuff and you get to keep ALL of the dresses and suits for a mere 2K+! Also, they do linking up services for you as wellcoz they can be roped in to source for cameramen, car rentals, and other little nitty gritties. Good stuff there, that's why we are planning to get them to do the things for us. Hopefully, things will be smooth for us from now on...
