Just got called to lunch by my inexperienced whelp of a boss, was going to agree but after a split second of thought, decided not to when I know I cannot really click with the rest of the group anyway especially when said limelight hogger will be going as well. Might as well give him the chance to "shine" in front of the others and me a chance to do my work in peace without having to lift my head and see his mug over the table...blech.
Besides, I think I need some "me-time" and quiet. No politics, no syncophantic conversations, no talking for the sake of talking, no dragging others down because I am in a grim mood - for one hour.
Just give me that one hour, dammit!!
